Treasure hunt for kids

Picture or rhyme clues lead children from spot to spot around the home or garden to a small shared treasure.

How to do it

  1. Write six to ten clues; use pictures for children who cannot read yet.
  2. Hide them in safe places, away from stairs, water and roads.
  3. Children search in small teams with an adult keeping watch.
  4. End at a shared treasure, such as stickers or a snack, so everyone wins.
