Play-reading evening

Share out the parts of a short play and read it aloud together, with simple props and plenty of expression.

How to do it

  1. Choose a short play or scene with enough parts, or write one together.
  2. Hand out the roles and allow a few minutes for a silent read-through.
  3. Read it aloud standing up, using a hat or scarf as a costume.
  4. Swap roles and read it again, or try the scene in a new style.
